Renault in the 90’s put a heavy focus on charm and the Clio was jam packed with it! From its pretty face to its chic profile to its colourful interior choices the Clio was everything Renault was great at, shrunk into a pocket sized package.
This 1.4 Automatic is in RN spec which means … well it means you don’t get a whole lot.
Outside you’ve got big ol’ Parisian spec black plastic bumpers, little 14 inch steel wheels with its original plastic trims, four doors and solid red paint.
Inside, Renaults signature colourful patterned seats are the first thing you see, which is good, because there’s nothing much else to see. You’ve got keep-fit windows, no sunroof, manual mirrors, a radio/cassette (hidden under a flap of course) but, you do get power steering.
Is she built for speed and dynamic driving? Nope. But she’s oozing with charm, she’s easy to own, cheap to run, park and insure and the perfect little starter classic!
